This is a two star place with a five star potential. Here is why. The setup and location of the place is very good. However, the only smell I should detect is the food and not our server. The toilet also need some cleaning and the hot water should work there. Moving on to the food. The salads, the burrata, the baked goat cheese, and the first grilled octopus were very nice. The fresh mussels were also nice. However, the second octopus was a bit funky, we told them that but nothing really happened. The main dish was lavrak (European see bass) and was prepared very well. However I question the size of 1.1 kilo and the way the fish was cut into pieces. A lot of fish was wasted by our server and we got a lot of bones in the plates. This should not have happened in a place at this price level. The white wine selection was decent and we liked the wine we had but the red wine list was bad. The most weird part was how all other alcoholic drinks were served. This is the first time in a very long time when a sever will come and refill a glass of vodka or rakia instead of bringing a fresh glass. Our sever would eyeball the glass and poor into the either empty or almost empty glass. We ordered 3 mixed drinks (vodka and grapefruit juice) and 3 small rakias. The final bill had 5 of each drinks and when I asked our sever he said that we had two big and one small or each so it ends up to 5 small drinks each. I wonder how you measure the amount when you poor into an old not completely empty glass. This is unacceptable and should not happen in this type of place. The same holds for the rum pouring process. I got a visibly smaller amount of rum than my friend. It was again poured by hand free style. Without any doubt we got a lot less alcohol that what we paid for. To summarize, for a place that claims to serve a wagyu A5 (high marble) beef and other nice meats, all of the above problems just should not be there and the red wine list must be better. A Japanese person will simply leave after smelling the server. Cheating on the drinks is a communist style defect that should be eliminated.
