On December 16, the stage of the jazz club “V Djaza” will welcome the legendary jazz ensemble Acoustic Version in a special, highly emotional lineup.
The history of the project began in 1984, when pianist Antoni Donchev and drummer Hristo Yotsov embarked on a musical journey that quickly took them beyond the borders of Bulgaria. In their early years, Acoustic Version triumphed in Leverkusen, Germany, where they were named “Young Jazz Artists of Europe” for 1986.
The ensemble soon established itself as one of the most original and recognizable jazz duos from Eastern Europe.
Over the years, Hristo and Antoni have worked with more than seven different bassists, each leaving a distinctive mark on the group’s development. This unintentional yet consciously embraced openness to new voices and ideas has kept Acoustic Version vibrant and ever-evolving for four decades.
On December 16, 2025, Antoni Donchev and Hristo Yotsov return to the stage of “V Djaza” jazz club with the special participation of Petar Slavov – one of the most successful Bulgarian jazz musicians on the global scene.
His name became part of the history of Acoustic Version back in the 1990s, before he continued his education at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston and built an impressive career in the United States.
