Petar Terziev is a young vocalist who is currently a student at the jazz department of ESMUC, Barcelona.
Among Terziev's musical projects in recent years are his duets with Vilizar Gichev, Stanislav Arabadzhiev, Daniele Febbo, the acoustic trio "The Social Callers" together with Dimitar Blagoev and Daniele Febbo, "Just Bossa" with Velislav Stoyanov, "Picture a Samba' ' with Vasil Spasov's trio.
The current program is Terziev's debut in his role as an arranger and leader of his own quartet. The musicians will perform music by Charlie Parker, Thelonious Monk, Cole Porter, Antonio Carlos Jobim, as well as original themes. Modern singers such as Cecil McLaurin, Kurt Elling and Michael Mayo, with their vocal prowess and innovative approach, are at the heart of the quartet's musical concept.
The homage to the jazz tradition will be combined with an ambition for a contemporary and original sound, where the vocals can perform many different functions. Some of the most prominent young musicians on the jazz scene in our country will stand next to Terziev on stage.
